Your local Visibility Score, and how to raise it

A 0-100 score built from the factors Google actually rewards, a weakest-first fix list, and growth targets benchmarked against businesses near you.

Everybody wants to rank higher on Maps. Almost nobody knows which of the twenty things they could do this week is the one worth doing. So the advice gets followed in the wrong order, or not at all.

The Visibility Score scores each location out of 100 across the factors Google actually rewards, then sorts your work weakest-first. It is not a ranking prediction. It is a scored checklist that tells you what to do next.

Weakest-first checklist where every item links to the tool that fixes it

What the score is built from

Category accuracy, profile completeness, review volume and rating, response rate, verification status and posting activity. These are the levers you control - distance from the searcher, you do not.

Each factor is scored separately so the number is explainable. A 62 tells you nothing on its own; a 62 with responses at 20 percent tells you exactly where the morning goes.

Weakest-first, with a link to the fix

The checklist is ordered by how much each item would move your score, not by what is easiest. Every item links directly to the screen that fixes it: the review inbox, the post composer, the profile editor.

That link matters more than it sounds. Most audit tools hand you a PDF of problems and leave the work somewhere else entirely.

Benchmarked against the businesses near you

A 4.3 rating with 90 reviews is excellent in one neighbourhood and mid-table in another. Absolute numbers are meaningless without the local field.

We benchmark your rating and review count against competitors near each location, so the target is set by your actual market rather than a generic best practice.

Targets you can actually hit

The gap between you and the businesses ahead of you is converted into plain targets: post this often, ask this many customers for a review each week, answer reviews within this long.

On paid plans the AI action plan turns the checklist into a written plan for the month, which you can hand to whoever is doing the work.

Frequently asked questions

No, and any tool that promises that is selling you something. Google weighs relevance, distance and prominence, and distance is fixed. The score measures how well you are doing on the parts you control.

From category accuracy, profile completeness, reviews and rating, response rate, verification and posting activity. Each factor is shown separately with its own contribution, so the number is always explainable.

It recalculates as your underlying data changes - new reviews, new replies, new posts, profile edits - so the checklist reflects the work you have actually done.

Businesses in your category near each of your locations, refreshed periodically. It is a market benchmark, not a named rival list to obsess over.
